Introduction

I am Ekow Yalley, a data science major currently attending Michigan State University. I am a senior who is in good academic standing and am interested in sharing my skills. I have made this personal website as a way to demonstrate some of my skills. This website is a way to show a portfolio of some of the projects that I have engaged in as a data scientist and as a programmer in general. This website also contains information on how to reach me if you would like to connect and learn more about me or some of the work I've done.

Experience

MxV Rail | Data Visualization Lead

I worked on a project for MxV Rails where I was the data visualization lead As a Data and visualization lead at MxV Rail, I collaborated with a student team to conduct data analysis aimed at optimizing train maintenance schedules. My key responsibilities included: Performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends and insights, contributing to a final project showcase that presented our findings and recommendations, participating in weekly team meetings to coordinate analysis tasks, track progress, and align on project goals. Through this experience, I developed valuable skills in data exploration, collaborative teamwork, and adhering to project timelines and deliverables.

Atesteo | Test Bench Operator

At Atesteo I was employed part time as a test bench operator. I worked for a drive test training company where I was responsible for the monitoring and reporting of the tests of different car parts. I was responsible for monitoring if tests were still running and resetting tests if needed. I was also responsible for the code that dictates how different tests operate, and used that code to gain insight into the operation of the part that was being tested. I was also responsible for reporting the data from the tests, which involved communication with coworkers and supervisors. I worked with a specialized code software designed for drive testing that was developed by the German company.

Responsible A.I. Africa & KNUST

I have also worked on the a project with KNUST were I regularly design posters for the Kwame Nkruma University of Science and Technology. I, as well as helping Resposible A.I host and organize events I was in charge of their technologigy front and built theri website that is currently down for the moment. I worked with members of staff more specifically Dr. Elizabeth koomson to coordinate and work with Responsible A.i Africa in a nuber of ways.

Education

I a a student at Michigan State university i am in good acedemic standings and have been an honors student as well as been on the deans list 3 times. I am graduating in may 2026 with a B.S in Data Science
